Neighborhood history

Roots run deep

Valley Estates was built in the late 1970s and early '80s, with recent sales showing build years from 1977 to 1982. Its streets are named Bramblewood, Dresden, Albacore and Valley Estates Drive.

Most homes are brick ranches and split-levels between about 1,800 and 3,000 sq ft on third-acre lots, with a few larger lots up to about three-quarters of an acre. Some have tree-filtered views of a nearby lake.

A lot of homes here are still with their original owners, so it's common to see updated homes next to ones ready for a refresh. That range keeps Valley Estates one of the more accessible neighborhoods this close to Crabtree.
