Neighborhood history
Roots run deep
Brandon Station was built out in the late 1970s, with recent sales showing build years from 1978 to 1980. It went up on larger lots on what was then the northern edge of Raleigh.
Homes are mostly ranches, split-levels and traditional two-stories in the 1,800–3,200 sq ft range, many with room to expand. The lots are the standout. Most recent sales sit on half an acre or more, and one topped an acre.
Something buyers should know: every recent Brandon Station sale was on a septic system rather than city sewer, and some homes sit just outside Raleigh city limits. Neither is unusual for neighborhoods from this era, but it's worth checking the septic inspection and city or county status on each home.
